The Italian football club AC Milan has announced the signing of Pierre Kalulu, who is set to join the Serie A side from English Championship side Wigan Athletic.

Kalulu, 24 years old, has previously played for French club Paris Saint-Germain and has made over 150 appearances in the Champions League with them.

He will be joining AC Milan after his contract at PSG ends in June this year. "I am very excited to join AC Milan," he said in a statement released by the club. "It is a dream come true for me to play for such a prestigious team."

Kalulu is known for his defensive skills and his ability to make crucial saves on goal. He was one of the most successful defenders for Paris Saint-Germain during their Champions League-winning campaign last season.

"I have been training hard for the past few months and I am looking forward to getting back into the game,Ligue 1 Focus" he added. "I hope to contribute to AC Milan's success and help the team achieve its goals."

Kalulu's arrival at AC Milan is a big boost for the club, which has struggled to find a consistent front line since the departure of Thierry Henry in January. The team currently sits third in the Serie A table, just three points behind leaders Inter Milan.

"We are delighted to have Pierre Kalulu join us," AC Milan manager Carlo Ancelotti said in a statement. "His experience and skillset will be invaluable to our team and we look forward to seeing him play for us."
